The Chicago Blackhawks are in Columbus tonight for a 6pm game against the Blue Jackets. Both teams are coming off of a loss and are looking to get back into the win column. The last game between these two teams ended with a 3-2 Blackhawks win.

The Chicago Blackhawks won both of their games in Detroit, and now they’re down in Carolina to take on the Hurricanes. The puck drops Friday, February 19 at 6pm CST, and Chicago looks to continue their win streak.

Moving the focus to tonight’s matchup, the Blackhawks can’t look much worse than they did. I fully expect them to come out with a better effort. Nashville was coming off of two losses and the Hawks were coming off of two wins. Maybe the playing field has evened out and we will get to watch a good game. We can only hope.

The next two game series for the Blackhawks is in Sunrise, Florida as they face the Panthers. Both teams are in a unique spot heading into Sunday night. The Blackhawks are coming off of a series where they lost both games but seemed to get better as it went on. The Florida Panthers will be playing their first game.
The Blackhawks Rebuild Is (Finally?) Happening
The time has come. After a Decade of Dominance, the Chicago Blackhawks are officially in rebuild mode.
With how that first sentence reads, you would assume that this came as a shock. But, the news was anything but that. In my opinion, there are two big reasons for that.
Previewing Blackhawks vs. Oilers
When the season came to a halt due to COVID-19, the Blackhawks had solidified their spot outside of the playoffs. Then, the NHL’s Return to Play plan expanded the playoff picture to include 24 teams, and suddenly the Blackhawks are right back in it.
